1. How do I post a job?

Posting a job on the Teach in Nebraska web site is fast and easy!

  1. Go to the homepage (www.nebraskaeducationjobs.ne.gov) and click on the Post a Job link.

  2. A map of the state of Nebraska should appear split into zones. Select the zone from the drop down box that corresponds to the location of your educational entity.

  3. Enter the information for the job you wish to post. Be sure to double-check the information! Hit the Submit button to post the job. That's it!

2. What types of jobs can be posted?

The primary purpose of Teach in Nebraska is to serve as a resource for recruitment of professional educators. Postings will be accepted for positions in:

  1. Nebraska’s accredited and approved schools.

  2. Nebraska’s Educational Service Units, 2-year and 4-year institutions of higher education, the Nebraska Department of Education, and state education organizations.

Please note: 

Any third party agency seeking to post a job vacancy must name the school system or educational entity.

Requests for postings to the site are subject to NDE approval.

3. What if I have more than one job to post?

Simply hit the 'Back' button on your Internet browser to take you back to the Information screen. You can modify existing information and resubmit it.

4. How long until my job gets posted?

Vacancy information is posted within three business days of receipt.

5. Suppose I make an error or want to change my posting after it has been submitted. What should I do?

Using the Delete/Modify link on the Post a Job page, simply indicate the changes you wish to make and submit the form. Please be very specific as to what position you want modified. Please list the exact position you want modified. Modifications and deletions are done within one business day of receipt.

6. How do I delete a posting?

As with modifying a posting, use the Remove/Modify link on the Post a Job page to submit a posting for deletion. Please be very specific as to what position you want deleted. As mentioned above, modifications and deletions are done within one business day of receipt. Postings are automatically deleted after 30 days unless a request is made to the site administrator for an extension.

7. Can I search for candidates?

Yes.  Potential applicants can register to have Administrators contact them concerning vacancies. To find those applicants, select Search for Job Seekers.

8. Is the search registration required for applicants?

No. This is an optional service.

9. What is the purpose of the online application?

The online application form provides standard information about the candidate to assist in the screening process.   It allows applicants to enter their information one time, save the form to their computer and send it to apply for those positions that allow its use.  It is not sent automatically at any time from the website.
